Trek to the Holy Cave
Begin the trek at 5:00 AM from Banganga — the spot where the goddess is believed to have shot an arrow that created a spring. Pass through Ardh Kuwari, a narrow cave where the goddess meditated for nine months. This section requires crawling through a tight passage — symbolic of rebirth. Continue the uphill trek to reach Bhawan (the main shrine complex) by afternoon. Darshan of the three sacred Pindies in the ancient cave. The natural rock formations, covered with saffron-dipped chunari (scarves), represent the triune goddess.

Bhairavnath Temple & Descent
Early morning trek 2.5km to Bhairavnath Temple — the demon who pursued the goddess and was granted liberation by her. This completes the full pilgrimage circuit. The belief holds that the yatra is incomplete without visiting Bhairavnath. Descend to Katra via a different route (Hathi Matha), enjoying panoramic views of the Shivalik range. Collect prasad and a yatra certificate before departure.
