   Drive to Tansen and heritage walk

   Drive from Kathmandu or Pokhara to Tansen. Walk through the narrow cobblestone streets of this historic hill town. Visit the octagonal Shreenagar Hill for panoramic views of the Himalayas and the Madi valley. Explore the Amar Narayan Temple and the Tansen Durbar area. Stay in a restored heritage guesthouse.

2. D2

   Trek to Bagnaskot and onward

   Begin the trek through the Mahabharata hills, passing Magar and Brahmin villages. The trail follows ancient stone-paved paths used by traders for centuries. Camp or stay in village homes. Your guide explains local customs and the dharma tradition that has sustained pilgrim traffic on this route for millennia.

   Swargadwari sacred fire and rituals

   Arrive at Swargadwari and approach the sacred fire complex. Witness the eternal flame that sadhus claim has burned for centuries. Participate in a havan (fire ritual) ceremony. The sadhus share teachings about the site's significance as a gateway to liberation. The views from the hilltop encompass the Rapti valley and distant mountains.

4. D4

   Descent and return via Pyuthan

   Descend through Pyuthan district, visiting rural communities. Drive back to Tansen or continue to Nepalgunj for your return flight. The journey offers insights into Nepal's diverse hill culture and the enduring power of dharma traditions.
