Arrival & Family Welcome
Drive from Pokhara to Sirubari (2 hours, last stretch on foot). Your host family welcomes you with a tika ceremony and a welcome drink of raksi (local millet liquor). Tour of the family home, introduction to village layout, and settling into your room.

Farm Life & Cooking
Join your host family in their daily work: planting or harvesting rice, tending buffalo, or gathering firewood. Learn to cook dal bhat the Gurung way — with local greens, fermented soybean (kinema), and hand-churned butter. Evening cultural program of Gurung songs and dances.

Village Walk & School Visit
Walk through the village to meet other families, visit the local school, and see the community projects funded by homestay income. Afternoon participation in a village meeting or religious ceremony if one is occurring.

Hilltop Sunrise & Farewell
Early morning hike to a nearby hilltop for sunrise over the Annapurna range. Return for a special farewell meal prepared by the entire community. Exchange gifts and promises to return. Trek down to the road and transfer to Pokhara.
