Day-by-day itinerary

1. D1

   Gangtok: Capital of the Clouds

   Arrive in Gangtok, Sikkim's hill capital. Visit the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology to understand Sikkim's Buddhist heritage. Evening walk on MG Marg, India's cleanest pedestrian street.

2. D2

   Rumtek Monastery & Temi Tea Estate

   Morning visit to Rumtek Monastery, the largest in Sikkim and seat of the Karmapa lineage. Continue to Temi Tea Estate for your first organic tea tasting. Understand how Sikkim's organic conversion (completed in 2016) changed tea cultivation.

3. D3

   Temi: Organic Tea Immersion

   Full day at Temi: plucking with organic certification standards, factory visit showing chemical-free processing, and extensive tasting of Temi's first and second flush teas. Discussion on organic farming's challenges and triumphs.

4. D4

   Ravangla & Buddha Park

   Drive to Ravangla to see the 130-foot Buddha statue overlooking the mountains. Visit a local monastery for afternoon prayers. Stay in an eco-lodge with organic farm-to-table dining.

5. D5

   Pelling & Pemayangtse Monastery

   Drive to Pelling with its spectacular Kanchenjunga views. Visit Pemayangtse Monastery, Sikkim's oldest gompa (founded 1705), containing the masterpiece Sangtok Palri — a painted wooden vision of Guru Rinpoche's paradise.

6. D6

   Kanchenjunga Views & Yuksom

   Morning visit to the ruins of Rabdentse, Sikkim's ancient capital. Continue to Yuksom, the coronation site of the first Chogyal (king) in 1642. Walk to Kathok Lake through virgin forest. Evening tea ceremony with local monks.

7. D7

   Departure from Bagdogra

   Return to Bagdogra via the scenic Teesta River valley. Final tea shopping in Gangtok and departure.
