   Arrival & Ancestral Home

   Drive from Kathmandu to Panauti. Your hostess welcomes you to her ancestral home with a tika ceremony and a tour of the house — the sunken courtyard, the prayer room, the kitchen with its traditional utensils. Evening storytelling about Panauti's history.

   Newari Ritual & Cuisine

   Morning participation in the household's daily puja. Learn to prepare a complete Newari meal from scratch: yomari (fish-shaped rice dumplings), bara (lentil patties), and aila (rice liquor). Understand the ritual significance of each dish.

   Panauti Heritage Walk

   Guided walk through Panauti's medieval core: the triple-roofed Indreshwar Mahadev Temple (the tallest pagoda in Nepal), the sacred confluence of Roshi and Punyamati rivers, and the traditional marketplace. Meet local artisans: a potter, a weaver, and a metalworker.

   Women's Cooperative & Departure

   Visit the Panauti Women's Cooperative to see how homestay income funds education and micro-enterprise. Participate in a closing ceremony where hostesses present you with handmade souvenirs. Departure to Kathmandu.
