    Kathmandu: Theory & Equipment

    Arrive in Kathmandu. Full-day workshop on Himalayan cinematography: camera settings for snow and altitude, lens selection, drone regulations in Nepal, and gimbal balancing. Gear check and distribution. Evening screening of great Himalayan cinematography with analysis.

    Pokhara: Drone & Aerial Workshop

    Fly to Pokhara. Full-day drone workshop: legal flight zones, safety protocols, and cinematic drone movements. Practice flying over Phewa Lake with Annapurna as backdrop. Learn to plan drone shots that enhance rather than distract from the story.

    Ghorepani: Timelapse & Golden Hour

    Trek to Ghorepani. Workshop on time-lapse photography in mountain environments: interval selection, exposure ramping for sunrise/sunset, and stabilization. Golden hour shoot from a viewpoint overlooking the Annapurna range.

    Tadapani to Chhomrong: Gimbal & Movement

    Trek through forest and villages. Workshop on gimbal technique for walking shots, whip pans, and reveal shots. Practice capturing smooth movement on uneven terrain — the most challenging skill in Himalayan cinematography.

    Annapurna Base Camp: The Ultimate Frame

    Reach Annapurna Base Camp. Full-day shoot of the 360-degree amphitheater. Workshop on capturing scale: using human figures, foreground elements, and atmospheric perspective to convey the immensity of the Himalayas. Astro-timelapse session after dark.

  6. D6

    Editing & Color Grading

    Return to Pokhara for editing workshop. Learn to organize footage, create a rough cut, color grade for the Himalayan palette (enhancing blues, controlling highlights), and add sound design. Final screening of each participant's 2-minute Himalayan short.
