Day-by-day itinerary

1. D1

   Day 1: Kathmandu to Soti Khola

   Drive through the Kathmandu valley and into the mid-hills to reach the trailhead at Soti Khola.

2. D2

   Day 2: Soti Khola to Machha Khola

   Trek through sal forests, rice paddies, and cascading waterfalls to Machha Khola.

3. D3

   Day 3: Machha Khola to Jagat

   Follow the Budhi Gandaki River, crossing suspension bridges and climbing to the village of Jagat.

4. D4

   Day 4: Jagat to Deng

   Enter the Manaslu Conservation Area and ascend through bamboo forests to Deng.

5. D5

   Day 5: Deng to Namrung

   Pass through villages with Tibetan Buddhist influences and Mani walls as you gain altitude.

6. D6

   Day 6: Namrung to Samagaon

   Trek with spectacular views of Manaslu and arrive at the large village of Samagaon.

7. D7

   Day 7: Acclimatization in Samagaon

   Rest day with an optional hike to Manaslu Base Camp or Birendra Lake.

8. D8

   Day 8: Samagaon to Samdo

   A short but stunning walk to Samdo, the last village before the pass, near the Tibetan border.

9. D9

   Day 9: Acclimatization in Samdo

   Hike to the Tibetan trade pass for acclimatization and views of the surrounding peaks.

10. D10

    Day 10: Samdo to Dharamsala (Larkya Phedi)

    Gradual ascent to the high camp at Dharamsala in preparation for the pass crossing.

11. D11

    Day 11: Cross Larkya La & trek to Bimthang

    An early start for the crossing of Larkya La (5,106 m) with jaw-dropping views, then descend to Bimthang.

12. D12

    Day 12: Bimthang to Tilije

    Descend through rhododendron and pine forests to the village of Tilije.

13. D13

    Day 13: Tilije to Dharapani & drive Besisahar

    Trek to Dharapani and take a jeep to Besisahar.

14. D14

    Day 14: Drive Besisahar to Kathmandu

    Return to Kathmandu by road, with time to reflect on an extraordinary circumambulation.
