   Janaki Mandir and Vivaha Mandap

   Arrive in Janakpur and proceed to the stunning Janaki Mandir, its white marble domes gleaming in the morning light. Inside, see the golden idol of Goddess Sita. Visit the nearby Vivaha Mandap, the pagoda marking where Rama and Sita's celestial wedding took place. The air fills with devotional bhajans and the scent of marigold offerings.

   Sacred ponds and Ram Mandir

   Walk to Ganga Sagar and Dhanush Sagar, the sacred ponds where pilgrims perform ritual ablutions. Continue to Ram Mandir, the ancient temple dedicated to Lord Rama. Your guide narrates the story of how Rama broke Shiva's bow here. Observe local women in vibrant Maithili saris performing parikrama around the temple.

   Mithila art and cultural immersion

   Visit a local artisan's home to learn about Mithila painting, the ancient art form depicting Ramayana scenes and geometric patterns. Watch women artists create intricate designs using natural pigments.
