Day-by-day itinerary

1. D1

   Kathmandu: Arrival & Briefing

   Arrive in Kathmandu. Marathon briefing with the race organizer. Gear check, altitude preparation, and medical screening. Welcome dinner with past participants who share their experiences.

2. D2

   Lukla to Namche: Acclimatization Begins

   Fly to Lukla and trek to Namche Bazaar. Slow pace with rest days built in. Your trekking guide is also a running coach who advises on pacing and altitude adaptation.

3. D3

   Namche to Dingboche: Higher Ground

   Trek through Tengboche to Dingboche. Rest day with acclimatization hike to Nagarjun Hill. Daily light jogging to maintain fitness without exhausting yourself before the race.

4. D4

   Lobuche to Everest Base Camp

   Trek to Gorak Shep and Everest Base Camp. Two nights at Base Camp for final acclimatization. Course reconnaissance: walk the first 5km of the marathon route. Race briefing with safety protocols.

5. D5

   Race Day: The Highest Marathon

   The marathon starts at 6 AM from Everest Base Camp. The 42km course descends through the Khumbu Glacier, past Lobuche, through Dingboche, past Tengboche, and finally to Namche Bazaar. Medical support at every aid station. Finish-line celebration with medals, certificates, and emotional reunions.

6. D6

   Recovery & Departure

   Rest day in Namche with massage and recovery activities. Leisurely trek to Lukla. Fly to Kathmandu. Farewell dinner and medal ceremony. Departure.
