Drive to Devghat and ashram check-in
Drive from Kathmandu or Pokhara to Devghat, arriving by noon. Check into a riverside ashram with simple, clean accommodations. Attend the afternoon Ganga aarti on the riverbank as the sun sets. Watch as lamps float on the confluence waters. The sound of bells and Vedic chants fills the evening air.

Morning rituals and scriptural study
Rise at dawn for a purifying dip in the confluence waters, believed to cleanse sins and bring spiritual merit. Participate in morning prayers and meditation led by the ashram's resident guru. Attend a discourse on the Bhagavad Gita or Upanishads. Walk through the surrounding forest, visiting the small temples dedicated to Vishnu, Shiva, and Sita along the riverbank.

Shraddha ceremony and departure
Arrange an ancestral shraddha ceremony with the ashram priests, offering prayers for departed family members at the sacred confluence. Float offerings of flowers and lamps on the river. After lunch, depart with a sense of inner cleansing and peace. The drive back offers beautiful views of Nepal's mid-hills.
