Day-by-day itinerary

1. D1

   Day 1: Arrival in Leh

   Arrive at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport and spend the day resting for acclimatization.

2. D2

   Day 2: Leh sightseeing & medical check

   Visit Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace, then undergo the mandatory medical fitness check for the trek.

3. D3

   Day 3: Drive to Shingra Koma & trek to Gyalpo

   Drive to the trailhead and take your first steps on the frozen Zanskar River to Gyalpo camp.

4. D4

   Day 4: Gyalpo to Tibb Cave

   Trek deeper into the gorge, passing frozen waterfalls and towering canyon walls to Tibb Cave.

5. D5

   Day 5: Tibb Cave to Nerak

   Walk to Nerak village, the turnaround point, and marvel at the frozen Nerak waterfall.

6. D6

   Day 6: Nerak to Tibb Cave

   Begin the return journey, experiencing the ever-changing ice patterns of the Chadar.

7. D7

   Day 7: Tibb Cave to Gyalpo

   Retrace your icy path back to Gyalpo, soaking in the silence of the winter gorge.

8. D8

   Day 8: Gyalpo to Shingra Koma & drive Leh

   Final walk on the frozen river and drive back to Leh for a hot shower and celebration.

9. D9

   Day 9: Departure from Leh

   Transfer to the airport with memories of one of the Himalaya's most extraordinary winter journeys.
