Arrival & Sacred Garden Orientation
Arrive at Bhairahawa airport and transfer to Lumbini. Evening circumambulation of the Maya Devi Temple and the Ashoka Pillar erected in 249 BCE. Walk the sacred garden where markers indicate the exact birth spot. Meditation session at the Pushkarini Pond as the sun sets.

Buddha Jayanti Main Day
Rise before dawn for the main ceremony. Join thousands of pilgrims in chanting the Mangala Sutta as the full moon sets. Participate in the mass lamp offering on the pond — thousands of floating butter lamps creating a galaxy on water. Visit monasteries from different Buddhist traditions (Thai, Myanmar, Chinese, Tibetan, Japanese) to observe how each culture celebrates.

Monastic Life Immersion
Spend a day at a Theravada monastery participating in the monk's routine: alms round at dawn, sutta chanting, communal meal, and afternoon meditation. Discuss the Dhamma with senior monks. Evening visit to the Lumbini Museum to see archaeological treasures from the Buddha's era.

Kapilavastu & Departure
Morning excursion to Tilaurakot, the archaeological remains of ancient Kapilavastu where the Buddha spent his princely youth. Walk the palace foundations and the eastern gate through which Prince Siddhartha rode out on his great renunciation. Return to Bhairahawa for departure with blessings and a Bodhi tree sapling.
